Halloween

I know it is late, but better late than never.

OUR LITTLE GIRAFFE
So Halloween was an event for Taylor this year. It started out with Taylor going to my friend Jamey's house in the morning because Grandma Susan had a DR. appt for follow up from her surgery on Wednesday. Jamey has a little boy, Rhyder who is almost a year older than her. Jamey and I have been friends since we were 12 so it is really neat that our kids are only a year apart(almost to the date). So she dressed our two little "animals" in their costumes and took them trick or treating to her Mom's work and to my work. They were so stinking cute. We didn't even plan to have them be safari animals together, but it worked out pretty cute.

Then Taylor was transferred over to Grandma Susan and the fun continued. Those two teamed up with Korahle (Cody's Aunt) and her granddaughter, Alexis. The two Grandmas took the kids to see Ashli(Alexis' mom) at her work for more candy

Taylor and Grandma Beth
The kids were able to go to each resident and get candy from them, but there were a few people that were dressed up and "too scary" for her to get candy from.

Taylor would get so scared by things she would put the death grip on Susan's hand and cover her eyes!!
P.S. ask Susan about her experience with the gorilla, it will make ya chuckle!
After Grandma Beth's Susan drove around until Taylor feel asleep and then it was nap time at Grandma & Grandpa Smith's until Mom and Dad could make it back.
After work Cody and I rushed over to continue the festivities. We had some yummy dinner, Susan is an awesome cook. I love it when she makes us dinner. Then it was real "Trick-or Treating" time. Susan couldn't join us for all the walking because she had over done it during the day so Rex, Cody, Taylor and I gathered the essential for the night piled it into the wagon and off we were. Gracie is an "essential"
The best story of the night was at the very first house we stopped by. This house was know for the full size candy bars that were given out when Cody and his sisters were young. Well that family moved out this year. So were are patiently waiting for someone to answer the door and here comes the teenage daughter, the look on her face was, surprise, almost like she wasn't aware that it was Halloween. She told us she didn't have any candy, Taylor pouted, and she left us to go look for something to give her. Here comes the good part, she came out with a CANDY CANE, yes from last Christmas!! It was so funny, if you know Rex & Cody at all you know that they wanted to say something about it, but because the girl was trying to find Taylor some candy they held it back. Not for long, as soon as we were in the driveway all three of us were making comments.

Cody's Aunt Korahle and Uncle Ron live walking distance from his parents house so Susan had jumped in the car and we were going to meet her there.Us four made our way up to the house
Dont worry Taylor is not alone, Grandpa Rex is with her you just can't see him because he is in his camoflauge, lol.
she was scared at this point of the 12" plastic light-up ghost that was on the door step so Gramps had to Carry her.

Korahle had friends and family at her house so Taylor was able to play with some of her cousins which was fun to see all the kids dressed up.

Christine, Zak, Candice A.K.A Birdie, and Tato-Bug

Zak made the absolute best little Jack Sparrow. I wish I would have gotten an up close picture of him.
Korahle, Brody, and Nancy Drew (I think), A.K.A Brooklyn
Me and the little girls

Tato-Bug was pooped by the end of the night, so we piled into Grandma's car and drove home to watch movies with Rex and Susan. Halloween is one of my fave holidays. Cant wait until next year!!
