Valentines Day
Valentines Day was fantastic this year! On Thursday Taylor and I made heart shaped cupcakes for friends and family. They were delicious. Taylor has turned into Betty Crocker these last few weeks and absolutely loves it! I will measure everything out and she puts in all in the bowl and tells me what she is pouring in. It is so
She is counting her candies here
She was showing me how she was going to "dump dump" everything
Then on Saturday we took Taylor to the Aquarium with Tyler, Tausha, Becky and Brigg.
She loved the fishies!!
These two are silly!
After the Aquarium we hosted a valentines BBQ! Yes BBQ in February!! The girls were in charge of the grilling while the guys watched the All-Star festivities. This was my romantic center piece, with the roses that Cody and Taylor gave to me. They are so sweet!!
Every girl was in charge of a side dish, well Cody loves seafood and does not get to enjoy it much because I'm not a huge fan. Well I decided that I wanted to make him a shrimp side dish. He told me he wanted Shrimp Cocktail. Here are pictures of my creation. I was pretty proud of them so i took a few pictures.
I almost forgot that Cody made breakfast for me too! I was a wonderful day filled with family and great friends!

Taylor's 2 year progress
Today was Taylor's 2 year well child checkup. At 2 years and 1 month Taylor is 34 3/4", which is the 70th percentile. She weights 27 lbs which it the 50th percentile and her head is a whopping 90th percentile. What this translates to is a tall, slim beautiful bobble head. Just teasing Taylor Mommy loves you.
She is healthy and growing just great. Dr. Cosgrove told me that at the pace she is growing at now she could be 5'6" that is if she stays towards the lower end. Now if she takes after father he said she could be up to 6'. He told me that most of the time he is pretty accurate when it comes to his patients estimated height, but he usually doesn't see this extreme of a height difference between the parents. So he is interested to see how Taylor develops.
For those of you that do not know. I am 5'1" and Cody is 6'6". Yes that is 17 inches difference. What can I say I have always had a thing for TALL guys.
She also had a shot today and did not even cry. She whined a little after the needle had been taken out, but was so quickly distracted by the Popsicle she completely forgot about the shot. we were out of the elevator walking to the car and she looks up and says "shot, ouch momma". I have been preparing her for a few weeks now that she was going to get shots and that it would not hurt. She is a brave one!

Proud to be an American
This is a little late, but better late than never right. I honestly am thankful to have a President that I can stand behind and that I believe in! Yes he is a politician, and therefore not perfect but he is a symbol of change and hope to America. I am proud that I was able to cast my vote for Barack Obama(even if I live in Utah and my vote "didn't count").
Girls will be girls!
A few weekends ago we went over to the Hillman's for dinner and cocktails with a few friends. While playing Guitar Hero Taylor Aunt McKenzie decided to bust out the make up for Taylor to play with. She knows where eye shadow goes as well as blush and lipstick as you can tell from the photos. What Am I going to do with such a "girly girl"? Those of you that know me well know that I dont wear makeup but once a month or so and hardly ever wear a dress and heels, unless the occasion calls for it! It is such a blessing that Taylor has so many wonderful women in her life to show her the ropes of being a female. I will teach her about football and cooking, and a few other things :)
P.S. She wears my heels more than I do.
